Practice Questions
Concept Explanation
Mathematical reasoning in placement LR (IndiaBIX / TCS / Infosys style) is light arithmetic plus logic: custom symbols, order of operations, inequalities, and comparing expressions — not long QA chapters.
What you will practice
- Symbol rules: A @ B means A + B; A # B means A × B — apply in the order given.
- BODMAS: multiply/divide before add/subtract unless the question says left-to-right.
- Inequalities: chains like A > B > C ⇒ A > C.
- Compare values: fractions, percentages, squares and roots without a calculator.
- Short word logic: consecutive integers, doubles, simple percent reverse.
How to solve fast
- Write the symbol rule on scratch before substituting numbers.
- Check whether the question uses normal precedence or strict left-to-right.
- For “which is largest”, evaluate each option once; do not merge steps.
