Python program to calculate the square of a number

In this tutorial, we are going to learn a python program to calculate the square of a given number.

Problem Statement

For any number that are inputs given by the user, we have to print x², i.e. square of that number.

For example:

Case1: If the user inputs the number as 2.

then the output should be ‘4’.

Case2: If the user inputs the number as 5.

then the output should be ‘25’.

Our program will take an integer as input from the user.
It then multiplies the input number with itself once and finally prints the number as the output of our program.

Step 1: Start

Step 2: take an integer input from the user and store it in num variable.

Step 3: print num*num

Step 4: Stop

Output:

Explanation:

For input 7, the output generated by our program is 7*7 i.e. equals 49.
